About the Performer

Ananya Surapaneni, born December 9, 2007, is a talented Kuchipudi dancer and disciple of Guru Sri Kalaimamani Madavapeddi Murthy (Siva Foundation, Chennai) and former disciple of Smt. Singaramani Challa Vedavalli Prasad (Kuwait). Starting her dance career at age 7, she has performed on prestigious stages in Kuwait and India, including the Embassy of India in Kuwait. Ananya is a Guinness World Record holder for the Kuchipudi Maha Brindha Natyam (2014, 2016) and began her music career at 12. Currently in 12th grade at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Public School, she has completed a Certificate Course in Kuchipudi with First Class honors and has received several awards, including second place at the Raga Rasa Tarangini Kuchipudi Dance Competition (November 2023).
