Abhinaya Vani Nritya Niketan was conceived and founded by Smt. Chavali Bala Tripura Sundari Daughter of the legendary guru. Padmabhushan Dr. Vempati China Satyam, Smt. Bala has inherited not just this graceful art form but also his teaching precision and dedication. Motivated by her father and guru, Smt. Bala started teaching dance much earlier and has honed many passionate and talented dancers over the years. Her compositions take inspiration from her father, Master garu and her brother, Vempati Ravi Shankar, while exhibiting her own unique style. Her distinctive style Is especially evident in the choreography of complex jathis. Smt. Bala focuses on a rigorous training in the fundamentals of steps, mudras and movement, taking the students through solo, group and ballet performances. Her students have performed at several events across the country and abroad. She emphasizes on both the practical and theoretical aspects of the dance form. She has also produced renditions of four dance ballets- Sri Krishna Parijatham, Chandalika, Sri Navadurga and Rukmini Kalyanam. Her untiring efforts to retain the essence and charm of Kuchipudi reflects in the meticulous training her students at Abhinaya Vani Nritya Niketan. She has also registered the school as a not-for-profit trust, aiming to preserve and promote Indian Classical dance forms and while helping not-so privileged artistes.
