About the Performer

Goutham Maheshwar, a Kuchipudi performer, choreographer, teacher, and Nattuvangam artist from Kerala, is training under Guru Smt. Bijula Balakrishnan and Dr. Methil Devika in Mohiniyattam. With experience in Bharatanatyam, Keralanadanam, and folk dances, he has performed at notable venues like the Madras Music Academy and NMACC, as well as internationally in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Muscat. Goutham holds a Bachelor's in Botany from the University of Kerala, a diploma in Bharatanatyam from IKSV University, and is pursuing a master's in Kuchipudi at Hyderabad Central University. He has won numerous awards, including the NATUVAR GOPIKRISHNA NATIONAL AWARD 2023 and the NATYA THILAK award at the ANANTHAPURI International Dance Festival. Goutham is also the co-founder and artistic director of Sattva Dance Academy in Trivandrum, focusing on innovative dance works.
