About the Performer

Rohita Pradhan has been the managing director and administrator of the Rudrakshya Foundation since 2007. A skilled Mrudanga player, he began his training at age nine and later pursued Mardal at Utkal Sangeet Mahavidyalaya, completing an M.Phil in the field. Known among the younger generation for his expertise in Odissi Mrudanga, he has performed at prestigious festivals such as the Konark Dance Festival, Muktesear Dance Festival, and International Dance Festival, among others. Rohita has also performed internationally in Malaysia and China. In 2024, he was honored with the Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra Yuva Prativa Samman.
