About the Performer

Satwika Penna is one of the foremost young accomplished talents in the field of Andhranatyam. She was fortunate enough to start her dance training under her mother and Lasyabhinayam exponent Smt. Dr. Suvarchala Suresh garu. She is being specially trained by Sangeet Natak Akademi Awardee Guru Sri Kalakrishna garu in Andhranatyam and Perini. An aeronautical engineer by education, she is currently enrolled in PhD at Hyderabad Central University. She holds her Masters in Dance from PSTU, Hyderabad. She is a "B - Grade" artiste from Doordarshan Kendra. She is also the first female solo performer of Perini.
