About the Performer

Shwetha Krishna Born in Bangalore, A disciple of Guru Sharmila Mukerjee was initiated to learn Bharathanatyam under the guidance of Sri.Satish Babu in the year of 1999 and also she performed in many festivals. However the feminist, lyrical and sculptures dance form Odissi which fascinated Shwetha and in 2003 she decided to appear for audition as a residential student at Nrityagram. Having won a scholarship, there she completed her intensive training in Odissi under the guidance of Guru.Bijayinisatpathy and Guru Surupasen. After in the year 2006 she joined Guru.Sharmila Mukerjee at her institute Sanjali Center for Odissi Dance under her guidance she did her debut performance in number of prestigious festivals.
